What is a Podiatrists?

Podiatrists are medical professionals specialised in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disorders of the lower extremities. The goal of a podiatrist is to restore the feet and legs to optimal health and function, supporting pain free mobility. In order to become a podiatrist it generally requires you to study a 3 to 4 years full-time bachelor’s degree, consisting of clinical training and over 1000 hours of placements within hospitals.

What is a Extended Scope Podiatrists?

Extended scope podiatrists are more experienced podiatrists who require a master’s degree in Podiatric Surgery /MSK/ High risk or have extensive clinical experience. It means these individuals are experts at assessing gait and bio mechanics to address complaints from injury, exercise and daily activities.

What is a Podiatric Surgeon?

Podiatric surgeons are highly skilled podiatrist specialised in the surgical management of the bones, joints and soft tissues of the foot and associated structures.
