Podiatry Appointments

New Patient Podiatry (£85.00)

This appointment is an initial assessment to help form a treatment plan for you foot complaint.

This may include: An Initial assessment, foot bath, vascular & neurological assessment, removal of hard skin (callous), corns, verrucae, nail cutting/ re-shaping, ingrown toenails etc. However some patients may require multiple visits to address their complaint(s).

Podiatry (£55.00)

This appointment will form part of your treatment plan or general maintenance.

This may include: foot bath, vascular & neurological assessment, removal of hard skin (callous), corns, verrucae, nail cutting/ re-shaping, ingrown toenails etc. However some patients may require multiple visits to address their complaint(s).

Diabetic Review (Neurovascular Assessment) (£55.00)

This appointment is designed for patients with either type 1 or type 2 diabetes.
The appointment will involve testing sensation, blood supply, skin integrity, reflexes, muscle control and structure of the feet. The assessment will allow us to identify the risk factors and develop a tailored treatment plan for you. In addition it will allow us to provide the right advise on high risk foot care and any further treatments you may require.


Fungal Nail Treatment (£55.00)

This appointment is designed for anyone with a fungal nail infection. It can involves an assessment to help form a treatment plan, advice on fungal nail treatment and management, nail cut, file, reduction with nail drill and optional moisturiser for skin.

This appointment may also include Lacuna treatment – This involves drilling micro-holes in the nail plate. The most active portion of a fungal infection typically lies superficial to the nail bed and not the nail plate. The micro-holes allow the anti-fungal treatment to seep through to the nail bed, therefore improving the contact between the solution and the infection.

Basic Nail Cutting (£35.00)

This appointment is designed for patients that have seen us within 4 months for a podiatry appointment and are looking for their nails to be cut between appointments within their treatment plan.

The appointment will involve a simple nail cut, file, reduction with nail drill and optional moisturiser for skin and nails.

*NOTE: if you require callus removal, foot bath, or anything else please book a Podiatry Treatment, as this will not be addressed in this appointment due to being a shorter appointment.

Ingrown Toenail (£55.00)

This appointment is designed for patients that are suffering from an ingrown toenail (onychocrytosis), where the side of the toenail cuts into the skin next to the nail and becomes painful.

The appointment will involve cutting and removing the section of nail or spike that is creating the discomfort. In addition any callous built up will be removed around the nail and if necessary the toe will be cleaned and dressed.

*NOTE: If the ingrown toenail is very painful, you will have the option to have the procedure done under a local anaesthetic at an additional cost.
*NOTE: Ingrown toenails can be a recurrent problem so follow-up appointments maybe required.

Single Corn Removal (£40.00)

This appointment is designed for patient suffering with corns. Corns can be presented in a number of ways but the most common are:
> Hard corns (Heloma Durum) – Small, hard and dense areas of skin usually within a larger area of callous. They typically form on the tops of toes and pressure points on the sole where the bone applies pressure to the skin.
> Soft corns (Heloma Moll) – Whitish/ grey and have a softer and elastic texture. Soft corns are generally present between the toes.
> Seed corns (Heloma Millaire) – Dry, stiff bump with an overall seed-like appearance. Seed corns are a collection of many small corns and are generally found on the bottom of feet.

During this appointment a clinician will take the callous down, remove the core of the corn (enucleate), and if necessary offload the area of complaint with dressings and padding.

*NOTE: If you have any further complaints or more than 1 independent corns, we recommend you book in for a podiatry appointment as this slot is up to a maximum of 15 minutes.

Verruca Chemical Treatment (£40.00)

Debridement of verruca and application of verruca treatment (silver nitrate).

Wound Care/ dressing (from £55.00)

Simple Re-dressing
Follow-up wound redressing. This appointment is suitable for simple wounds e.g. post-op nail surgery/ verruca needling.

Complex Wound Re-dressing
This appointment will be indicated by a clinician after an initial podiatry appointment. This appointment is required for monitoring and redressing of complex wounds e.g. Diabetic foot ulcers- Special dressings are required.

*NOTE: In some cases specialised dressing may be required to be ordered in to effectively manage your wound which will incur additional costs. If you have a complex issue we recommend you phone prior to your appointment as prices may vary depending on complexity of your case.

Warm Wax Treatment (£40.00)

Let the heated paraffin envelop your feet, stimulating circulation and helping to ease pain caused by arthritis, bursitis, chilblains and chronic joint inflammation. This is a relaxing and warming experience especially good for nourishing dry skin and relaxing tight muscles.

Minor Procedures

Ingrown Toenail with Local Anaesthetic (£150.00)

This appointment is designed for patients that are suffering from an ingrown toenail (onychocrytosis), where the side of the toenail cuts into the skin next to the nail and becomes painful.

The appointment will involve, whilst under a local anaesthetic, cutting and removing the section of nail or spike that is creating the discomfort. In addition any callous built up will be removed around the nail and if necessary the toe will be cleaned and dressed.

Nail Surgery (£450.00)

A permanent solution for ingrown toenails using local anaesthesia. Nail surgery, single toe – including two follow up appointments for redressing. Please note for nail surgery an initial assessment will normally be required which is a chargeable extra.
*NOTE: Please bring loose fitting shoes or open toe shoes to accommodate bulky dressing.

Verruca Needling (£450.00)

This is a minor surgical procedure that involves the use of a fine needle to puncture the verruca lesion(s) multiple times under local anaesthesia. The goal is to stimulate an immune response and, therefore, help the body fight the verruca virus.
Please note for verruca surgery an initial assessment will normally be required which is a chargeable extra.

Mucoid and Ganglion Cyst Decompression (from £160.00)

This is a minor surgical procedure that involves the use of a fine needle or scalpel to puncture and drain the Mucoid cyst or Ganglion under local anaesthesia. Please note for Cyst Decompression an initial ultrasound assessment will normally be required which is a chargeable extra.

Bio-Mechanical Appointments

Bio-Mechanical Assessment (£130.00)

This appointment involves the assessment of the structure, alignment and function of the lower extremities. The appointment is designed for anyone experiencing a complaint with no visible signs or sustained through an injury that may be a result of how you are moving.

At this appointment a detailed history of your complaint, medical history, and personal circumstance will be taken.
A full lower limb assessment, gait analysis, and footwear review will be carried out. This assessment will aim to identify factors that may be causing or contributing to discomfort, we will look for any weaknesses in the function of your muscles, joints and nerves. From this we will be able to tailor a treatment plan to meet your requirements.

Bio-Mechanical Review (from £55.00)

This appointment is for patients who have previously seen one of our clinicians for a bio-mechanical assessment within the last 12 months for a complaint identified within their original assessment. This review may cover the following:
> Alterations to a treatment plan
> Discuss further treatment related to the problem addressed in your previous visit
> Fitment of new orthotics (insoles custom made for your feet)
> Review/ modification of orthotics prescribed by Medicole

Custom Made Orthoses and Casting (£350.00)

Customized Molded prescription foot orthotics. Please note for orthotics to be issued an initial assessment will normally be required which is a chargeable extra. Orthotics fitting /casting appointment included.

Prefabricated Orthotics (from £80.00)

Customized Prefabricated prescription foot orthotics. Please note for orthotics to be issued an initial assessment will normally be required which is a chargeable extra.

Sports Taping (£30.00)

Taping has been used for a long time for the prevention or treatment of lower leg injuries. This appointment will follow a biomechanical assessment where the clinician will assess your foot problem and advise the best treatment plan for you.

Cosmetic Treatments

Varnish Application (£15.00)

This treatment will involve a nail file and application of nail varnish (O.P.I or Dr Remedy) with optional moisturisers for nails.
*NOTE: Please bring flip flops or sandals.

Gel Polish & Nail Varnish Removal (£10.00)

Gel nails & nail varnish removal, and nails cleared, with optional moisturizers for skin and nails.

Injection Therapies

Ultrasound guided Steroid Injection (from £295.00)

This appointment involves the injection of a corticosteroid and local anaesthetic into an area of the foot. This treatment is used for supressing inflamed joints and inflammation of soft tissue and aims to resolve pain and improve mobility and function within the area of complaint.
*NOTE: We do not recommend more than 3 injections into one area in the course of any one year.

Additional Services

Out of Hours Appointments (from +£20.00)

£20.00 supplement on all appointments between the following times:
18:00 – 20:00: Monday, Tuesday, Friday
16:00 – 18:00: Saturday

£70.00 supplement (call out) on all appointments between the following times:
20:00 – onwards: Monday – Saturday
All day: Wednesday, Sunday
